# FAQ

Quick answers about setup, reports, replies, security and managing more than one game.

## Setup

<details>

<summary>How long does setup take?</summary>

About 15 minutes. See [Set up Eirin](/eirin-ai-docs/getting-started/set-up-eirin.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Do I need a separate email address for my agent?</summary>

No, it's optional. With a work email, you can talk to your agent by email and Slack as well as web chat. Without one, you use web chat, and scheduled reports go to the manager's own email.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I sign in with a personal Gmail account?</summary>

No. Sign in with your work Google account. Personal addresses such as Gmail or Yahoo don't work.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Who can give Eirin instructions?</summary>

Only the manager, which is the person who signed up. Instructions from anyone else are ignored. Team members can read the reply queue and receive forwarded reports.

</details>

## Reports

<details>

<summary>How quickly will I get my first report?</summary>

Within a few minutes. Ask for a player sentiment report in chat, or by email if your agent has a work email.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How often can I get reports?</summary>

As often as you like: daily, weekly, every two weeks or monthly. Just ask, for example "Send me a report every Monday morning."

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I get an old report back?</summary>

Yes. Every report is kept, and you can ask for any of them again, for example "Send me the monetisation section from March."

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I keep a topic out of my reports?</summary>

Yes. Add a report guardrail on your agent's **Playbook** tab. See [Customising your report](/eirin-ai-docs/sentiment-report/customising-your-report.md).

</details>

## Replies

<details>

<summary>Will Eirin post anything without my approval?</summary>

Only if you turn on auto-reply for a store or social account. It's off by default. Even when it's on, replies that need judgement still wait for you. See [Guardrails and permissions](/eirin-ai-docs/trust-and-safety/guardrails-and-permissions.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>How does Eirin sound like my studio?</summary>

It learns your tone from your team's past replies and follows the reply rules you save. It learns tone, not facts. To teach it about your game, add documents to its [knowledge base](/eirin-ai-docs/working-with-eirin/knowledge-base.md).

</details>

## Access and security

<details>

<summary>Can I remove Eirin's store access?</summary>

Yes, at any time. On the App Store: Users and Access → Integrations → your key → Revoke. On Google Play: Users and permissions → our service account → Remove access.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Do I need to email my App Store .p8 key file?</summary>

No. You upload it in the secure upload field. It's sent over an encrypted connection and stored encrypted.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can Eirin change my app, pricing or builds?</summary>

No. We can't change your app, pricing, builds or finances on either store.

</details>

## More than one game

<details>

<summary>Can I have more than one agent for the same game?</summary>

No. It's one agent per game. If different teams need different views, set up different report formats and schedules, for example one report for leadership and one for live ops.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Do I need a separate Slack for each agent?</summary>

No. One Slack workspace is enough. An agent with a work email can talk to you on Slack using that email.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I change which game an agent covers?</summary>

No. The store link can't be changed after setup. To cover another game, hire a new agent for it.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Do agents share data or settings?</summary>

No. Each agent is separate. Game 1's knowledge base, reply rules and history never reach Game 2.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I pause an agent?</summary>

Yes. Click **Disable** on its profile. It stops replying and sending reports, and keeps its settings so you can turn it back on later.

This documentation is published with GitBook. GitBook is the documentation platform designed so that both humans and AI agents can read, navigate, and reason over technical content effectively. Learn more at gitbook.com.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://eirin-ai.gitbook.io/eirin-ai-docs/reference/faq.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
